How To Build Up Your Closet For Spring
Many have requested this, so here it is:
My suggestions may not be feasible for everyone, since climate is not consistent throughout the world. I live in New Jersey, and springtime can often still be a bit nippy, so keep that in mind.
- A well tailored pair of dark wash jeans that can be cuffed up to capri-length
- Lilly Pulitzer skirts that can be worn with your winter/fall sweaters and long sleeve tees
- Polo shirts (white and navy are essentials)
- Cotton cardigans (white and navy, as well)
- Chino/Twill Shorts (Navy, Khaki, and Pale Pink are my “go-tos”)
- Patchwork d-ring belt
- Chestnut Braided Leather Belt
- Sperry Authentic Originals (Sahara Neutral or Navy Deerskin both go with just about everything)
- Solid long sleeve and short sleeve tees (J.Crew, Ralph Lauren, and Vineyard Vines are all comfortable and good quality)
- Classic Navajo Jack Rogers (If you only get one pair, I suggest white, silver, or gold)
- Oxford shirts
- Nantucket Red Shorts
- Patagonia Fleece (for chilly mornings and evenings)
- Original Hunter Wellies
Hope this will help some of you! xxx
Nicole
